While watching the Queen walking down the aisle in St Pauls earlier, I noticed as she approached the front she appeared to walk around a circular marking on the floor. I imagine it is probably someones tomb and she was showing respect by not walking across it. Does anyone know?

from what I can see it is the grave of a Bishop of London, the Ledger stone of Bishop Mandell Creighton and wife covering his grave seeming to be one of the few in the floor and resembling the photo of the nave.

Probably tomb of the unknown soldier. Traditionally, royal brides leave their flowers there.
probably a relative....
That's it Westminster Abbey though, isn't it?
I thought the tomb of the unknown soldier was in Westminster Abbey.

Just realised I'd confused them! Doh! Found out that Nelson and Wellington are both in St Paul's , could it have been either of them.
Nelson, Wellington and Wren are all downstairs

One of those rare time woofgang[i is incorrect.

While it's true the [i]VietnamWar[i] Unknown was identified through DNA several years ago, the [i]Tomb of the Unknowns] in Arlington Cemetery contains the unknown remains of warriors from WWI, WWII and the Korean War.
