Hi everyone, I hope someone can just put my mind at ease...
Around a week ago (maybe a little longer) a small, hard red lump came up on the side of my hand, on the knuckle of my first finger. The lump was only about the size of a pin head and was a little itchy, but i figured it was just a bite or something. This morning, I have woken up to find that it is now surrounded by about 5 or 6 other bumps, all still very small (although slightly larger than the original) and they are flesh coloured and itchy (Although this seems to be more prominant when my hands are warmer) the whole thing is about 1cm in diameter.
It wasn't concerning me before, however, this change to it has irritated me slightly.
I have to go to the GP in a week or so anyhow, so if it hasn't gone by then, I will get him to check it out, but as it's a long bank holiday weekend, I don't want to take up an emergency appointment that could be needed by someone else.
Many thanks in advance.

Almost certainly not life threatening, cancerous or needs urgent medical care.

Does indeed sound like a bite of some sort.

Steroid cream e.g Synalar applied twice a day should be helpful.

My initial response remains the same but if there is no improvement after a week, then see your GP and don't leave it longer.
I get red spots on sides of fingers every now and then, a little itchy. but they do go and nothing to worry about. I'd have thought they are just chillblains

Thanks guys...
I knew it was certainly not urgent, the only concern that I held was thatit could have been something that may be passed on to my LO (owing to the fact that it had gotten bigger/spread).
I'll give the cream a go and mention it to my GP if it doesn't clear up.
Thanks again.
