He was selected to represent his school in a chess competition which took place today. The school has a fairly rough catchment and he has had a pretty hard time over the last few years as he is a clever lad and that's frowned upon by the high percentage of moron's that he shares a classroom with.

Anyway he hasn't had much practice and the school chess club has only been running for a few months but he still managed to come in the top 10 (not sure exactly where yet but not in the top 3 as they all got a trophy) out of 140 kids from across 2 council areas. One school sent 10 kids and they play every day after school!! He won 3 and drew 2 matches so was unbeaten over the day.

.......and he chose to go there and miss his "golden time" reward.

.......then he followed up by getting a clean bill of health at the dentist and a compliment for great brushing!!

Just been for a wee McDs as a reward :o)

tenrec, lol, no we went for a wee before we left home - didn't your mum ever tell you that ;o)
I can understand that annie, with these bullying little scroats that are in his class.

I think he would have enjoyed McDs better without the wobbly tooth that's hanging by a thread- he should have taken the dentist up on her offer to take it out for him today.
Question Author
yeah tony 3 weeks to go and he will be in a whole new world and can have a fresh start, he's been up on some transition events and loving it already.
