...Do you always go for the same grape or is the cost a factor.Personally I like all reds so cost is a factor.MrsJan likes dry white only, how about you.

I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so Mateus Rose and Asti.
One I found many years ago, but can't seem to get over here is Clairette de Die, Tradition.
Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, when I'm feeling flush.
Lidl Chardonnay (boxed) when times are hard. Like tonight. Cheers.
It makes me laugh when I`m at work and I ask customers whether they would like the Chablis or the Chardonnay. They say they would like the Chablis because they don`t like the Chardonnnay. It`s the same grape and there`s no difference (only the region)
I drink Douro most of the time because it's cheap and moreish but I am eyeing up a nice Mouton Rothschild 1984 that hasn't hidden itself well enough in my cellar for the next special meal I can drum up.
Get stuck into some of this NOX - a stunning bargain from just across the border ...

I'll give that a bash Dave ;-)
Red gives me a thumping headache.

White, I am ABC (anything but chardonnay). Although tend to go for Pinot Grigio out of habit more than anything. For a special meal, I select something nicer though.
Too much info NOX
Whites?

I like Sauvignon Blanc, coz it makes such crispy, refreshing wine.

And Verdejo (if we're going Spanish) because we get the giggles pronouncing it like you're having a bit of a phlegm attack, LOL

Reds?

Well, obviously Pinot Noir, coz it's light and sexy (although quite often pricey).

And Gamay (if we're going French ... well, Beaujolais region) coz it's (err) a bit like Pinot Noir.
I like Sauvignon Blanc. I`m not sure about Pinot Noir though. It`s OK when it`s blended with something else but it`s a bit light and shallow on it`s own. Just my opinion though.
Red.
