Is there any quick fix to even out a bumpy concrete floor (kitchen) it mainly one area that bumps up (approx 30" by 30"). Cant afford the thousands it will cost to get it done properly! We can only lay vinyl flooring because of the uneveness and even that ends up bumping up in places???? julie (dont laugh)

I think that you can buy that stuff in a tub called floor self leveler. You just pour it on to the unlevel parts of the floor and let it set. I think that you can get it from DIY stores.
Yep, self levelling pourable screed, though you'd need to do the entire floor and it would raise the level of the floor to just above the level of the highest bump.

thanks for the kind suggestion but the bump is quite and to get the rest of the floor to even up to that would prob take some doing and would probably mean you would have to step UP into the kitchen. Is there no way of just getting the bump out???
Question Author
should have said bump is quite high
If the floor is concrete you could perhaps use a bolster chisel and flatten the bump out.
Hammer and chisel then.
Great minds and all that there, Chuck lol.
