When I wear slingbacks the strap just ends up slipping off my foot so I may as well be wearing mules. Is there something I can buy or do that will keep the horrible things round the top of my heel where they're meant to be? By the way, they are the correct size and my feet are the right width for all the ones I've got.

I think John Lewis sell something you can stick in the back of slingbacks to stop them slipping. Probably most department stores that have a haberdashery department will sell something like it.
in boots you can get scholl sling back rubber things (like the gel pads for they sell for the ball of your foot) they stick on the back and keep them in placde but they are very clear so not conspicuous

Thanks you two, I'll go to Lewis's tomorrow and try and get some. I was actually going to try gluing stiff wire to the strap to keep it stiff and stop it slipping.
ooh you would have to make sure it was well covered, wouldnt want that poking your ankle!
Yes, I've had that problem in the past. The leather stretches and keeps slipping off, it's very annoying.
