Despite a public apology yesterday, Brendan Boland says it's not enough and rightly so.

After all the furore last week I'm frankly amazed the Primate hasn't done the decent thing. In the face of pressure too from politicians on both sides of the border he clings stubbornly to the mast of the sinking ship that is the RC church in Ireland.

How much longer will he allow the victims to suffer and deny them some closure?

He should do the decent thing and step down. The man made a total tool of himself. Like someone said in the programme, the paedophile priests are the disease...people above them spread it ..
I watched a recording of that programme yesterday. Shameful, absolutely shameful.
I think he may be in a state of denial. The enormity of what he did, or failed to do, might be unacceptable to him.
But resigning would, even at this late stage, help the victims.
