I bought my laptop just after Christmas and one week in the left mouse started to rock and I took it back and it the computer was replaced.

I didn't take out the extended warranty offered and they made a note of this. Well it has started to do the same thing again.

I play games on my computer and apparently this is classed as abusive of the mouse.

My last laptop lasted over 5yrs with no problems.

Has anyone else had a similar problem.

I am now trying to play games just using the touch pad but it doesn't work quite the same.

I've got an HP laptop (don't play games on it though) but surely that's madness on behalf of those who have said playing games is abuse of the mouse!!! Jeez so we have to be selective when using a mouse now then?? I have separate laptop mouse on mine, seems fine in everything I use it for but cannot comment on games. Have you been in touch with HP themselves, they are usually very helpful in my experience?
take it back and quote the sale of goods act.playing games is not abusive of the mouse!keep a record of all your interactions with them.i.e. conversations , emails and letters.good luck and let us know how you get on
mine went wrong after a time, screen went off and never came back. I complained, complained, 12 months later we went to the small claims court got money back. A pain in the backside, but i thought spending that kind of amount warranted a return money, the court agreed. I wouldn't buy another.
Hey Maggie, i have the HP Pavillion and also the left mouse button is starting to rock. It doesn't bother me at all but if you got a new laptop, I may just say that it's annoying me aswell haha!

It doesn't annoy me. My worry is that it will one day not work. I will look into it . Thanks
Some of the games I come across sure do abuse the mouse with continual clicking. Whether the warranty should take this into consideration though. But there again why admit to it ?

In any case if you really must use a laptop, why not plug a seperate mouse, into the USB port ?

Anyway most of us would boast of a mouse that really rocks !
If that is the only problem then I would just buy a USB mouse as Old_Geezer suggests.

I couldn't be bothered with all the hastle trying to get it replaced again so have bought a mini wireless mouse.

Seems to be doing the trick fine.

Thanks for the replies.
