Something on facebook made me think about this so I delved further :)

It's an old article but according to BBC news, the position you sleep in gives an insight into your personality. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3112170.stm

I'm a freefaller... what they say sounds about right to me!!

If I started fanning myself Jeza would think, best not say.
Discontinuous we lie
with an old cat asleep
between our backs

where jealous children
used to squirm
wedged in between us

We grow old, you and I,
to be so equable, lying
back to cat and cat to back.

How true boxtops......
I agree that 'soldier' is not good for all the reasons given.
My problem is that I find lying on my side or front for any length of time quite uncomfortable. Even if I do manage to get to sleep that way I always seem to wake up on my back.
My OH always said I slept in the Superman flying position. Maybe I am superwoman after all.

So we have added 'Basket Case', 'The Boss' and 'Superwoman' to the list.

I'm going to do some freefalling just now. Night! x
I think I do most of those throughout the night, plus the leg out of the duvet. Start out as a yearner then on to the freefall. Usually wake up corner to corner. The OH sleeps like a soldier.
Sleep alone. Double bed. Sleep as close to the right edge as possible, nearest the door, on my right side. Explanation?
You're looking to get your money's worth out of that mattress using 25% of it at a time DaisyNonna?
Escape route.
Douglas, will I ever get to sleep in the middle?
Nah - load of rubbish. I (and I'm sure everyone else) sleep in whatever position is comfortable. There's a theory now that body language is not as reliable as once thought. They say you need to have about 3 similar 'tells' at the same time for it to be accurate - for instance, having your arms folded doesn't necessarily mean you are defensive. You might just be cold or have no pockets and don't know what to do with your arms. If it is combined with 2 other defensive attributes however, then it is more likely that is how you feel.
Somewhere between freefall and foetus Redman varies but mostly he's blob in the bed with added snorepower
I sleep across the bed with my head and arms dangling out one side.
Lol, well according to that im a foetus and Mr Smow is a freefaller, though he sleeps with his face down in the pillow, and not to the side. God knows how he hasnt suffocated!
