I agree ,their backs are showing a defined backbone and yet they do not otherwise appear to be undernourished or unhappy.Maybe it is peculiar to the breed which I must admit I am not sure about;I know they look like black labradors but with the rather chunky head, perhaps there is something else involved!

thats what i mean! very strange!
Question Author

I think they maybe flat coated retrievers

Question Author
what do you think the writing says?

They are black labradors.

While they do look a bit on the thin side, they look healthy and are probably better being slightly too thin than overweight, which this breed is prone to

suppose but thier backs?
i think its wavy fur. My weimaraner also has wavy fur on her back and when filmed in sunshine when she has her shiny summer coat, you get the same effect
I've finally managed to view the video and tend to agree with woofgang. It's either wavy fur or a bit of distortion as the picture quality is not great, but I wouldn't worry as both these Labs look happy healthy dogs with lovely glossy coats. It's good that you care enough to post though tazzy.
It is definitely wavy fur as common with labs. They look very healthy and happy to me.
