Today would be Barnys 32nd birthday. I still miss that cat and think of him every day.

We only have one computer. Though I miss him too.

I cant imagine losing my doggy.... Pets are just family arent they x
Watching the trailer for 'Frankenweenie' earlier made me think about losing Sooty. I would be devastated!
Jeza, I still miss my cat and she would have been about 35 ish by now. had her for 20 yrs and will never get another one. I could never replace her, she was special x

Tink, he was a real character. Russian Blue. He was a big cat though not fat. Jeza loved him more than me I think.
Mmmm my aunt had a russian blue called smokey!! She was beautiful, i think someone poisoned her :0(

She was a beautiful cat big green eyes xx
pusskin, you should get another one. There are lots out there that need homes otherwise they'll be put down, and you could obviously give one a good home. It's not a replacement, it's a different one. the first one is still special.
I'm OK with cats, but don't like them fouling my garden. Mrs BJ hates'em, though.
My former neighbour seriously asked me if I'd killed her (evil) cat which had gone missing - turned out he was locked in the garage of someone who had gone on holiday. Her replacement after his death was a much nicer creature, but he knew to stop when he got to the boundary of our drive!
I lost Ché the first GSD that was actually "MINE" back in '91 and it took me nearly 20 years before I could take on Max who I've just lost and I really miss them both. You never forget them, no matter how long ago it is since you've lost them.
Chucked mic off the computer.

Paddy as a girl I was never allowed a cat. As an adult I vowed to fill my house with them. At one point I had five. Barney was my first love. He will always have a special place in my heart. I love all animals, but cats are special.
I've never been a cat person jeza, but it doesn't matter cat or dog they sneak into your life and become your best friend and let's face it good friends are hard to find
I miss my faithful golden Lab. He was 14 and was my best friend. He knew my every move what time it was . Used to fetch his dish when it was his meal time .Fetch the mail from the postman. I sometimes still feel his presence and it is over 2 years now. I light a candle for him when I feel his presence. I have not had another . I know there are dogs looking for good homes .But I can't bring myself to go through the heartbreak again. my 2 kids have blue staffies and I have had theres here at times with their work patterns when they were puppies and needed the extra feeds .They are just over a year and my home is their second home.
I know your feelings. We're cat people - the only short period that I was without one, I was bereft.

Jeza - think about getting a rescue cat, there are so many older cats out there with no homes to go to.
Boxtops I would love a cat again. I used to have a long haired white persian and he used to stalk the end of garden at front so no cats would come near. I can't have one as I have the hannes mccaw as in pic. and cockatiel and parrot is out most of the day.
I love my cat. He's so funny.

Docile and hostile. He hates anyone coming in the house. He sits and gives visitors the evils. I'm the only one he comes to for fuss....and he goes to my OH to fight. He tolerates the kids.

When he's in the street, he'll tart himself out to anyone. Rolling all over the pavement getting people to stroke him.

He comes to the shop with me. Usually sits under the nearest car...but if I take too long he'll come to the door.

He often goes to sleep in the rabbit hutch. The rabbits seem to like him...
