Hi....Got a MT270 Mcculloch strimmer at least 10 years old....Petrol stopped going through so it would not start..Have sorted the petrol prob, but moved the two screws (air/petrol mix). I've spent HOURS trying to balance them but as I have no idea which screw is which (big thick/little thin) I've given up and thrown myself at the mercy of AB.... I just want to know how many 1/2 turns each one requires, and if it STILL won't start how to carry on adjusting till it does ! The plug is ok... John

You may be able to download a free manual here:

Otherwise, this is from a McCulloch help site:

"The Screws you are asking about Set the Air to Fuel Ratio. The One Closest to the Engine is the High Speed Mix and the other is the Low Speed
Mix. The High Speed Mix is set while Reving the Engine and Turning the Screw In or out until the Engine Reves up and Smooths out. In your Case I would say Turn It in. Then Set the Low Speed Mix so when you Accelerate the Engine there is no Hesitation. Then set the Idle Screw."
