could anyone tell me if it will be safe to fly to greece 8 weeks after a full abdominal hysterectomy. Aware I shouldn't be carrying luggage etc but could really do with a week away before I go back to work after 12 weeks. Do insurance companies or airlines have any stipulations - it is not easy to find on the internet.

You should be perfectly safe.........have a good holiday.

Can't answer the question re. insurance though.
once you are clear to drive, you can also fly!

your holiday insurer should be checked with though!
Hope the insurance is ok for you. Be careful, they can be awkward as I`m sure you know. I was fighting fit six weeks after an ab. hysterectomy. But milk it a bit if you can.
You can`t fly for 10 days (although I`d give it a bit longer) after chest or abdominal surgery because you can be affected by pressurisation changes. Eight weeks would be fine.
