He's under such a level of scrutiny it's hardly likely he'd re offend.

Does he get benefits while in jail?

And the public don't see pictures of him walking the street with his wife in tow.

I believe it costs about 60K a year to keep someone in prison. An electronic tag and strict curfew would save us some money.
surely an Asbo would be enough?

Or he could be bound over to keep the peace. Clearly, all the available options haven't been considered.
He is a flight risk. There is an increased chance he will leave the country.

Leave the country? If there was any chance of that Theresa May would post bail out of her own pocket.
leave the country, why do that when you have everything paid for, shame we just can't boot him out and the rest of his tribe,
// ...the chance of him trying to abscond had increased. //
//it's hardly likely he'd re-offend//

i don't believe he's offended for the first time, has he? he's certainly never been charged with anything in this country, never mind stood his trial.
He must have loads of sympathisers in the UK where he could do the bunk. If his appeal failed he would disappear before he could be deported. That beard is just a disguise.
Taking a leaf from Bin Laden's book:

///Mr. Qadir claims that Bin Laden's youngest wife also told interrogators that her husband shaved his beard and disguised himself as an ailing Pashtun elder as he leapfrogged between safe houses across northwestern Pakistan, eventually regrowing the beard after finally settling in the Abbottabad house in 2005.///
if any ailing Pashtun elders were spotted leapfrogging in the streets of Britain, the neighbours would soon turn them in to the benefits police
If only all the people who hated Britain would f*k off somewhere else. It' s a mystery why they don't.
How about a hit squad to solve the problem for once and for all..
If this govt are not very careful they are going to ensure that the ECHR hear his case and likely side with him, as he appears to being treated exceptionally, and justie needs to be seen to be even handed. Give him bail and start the process to get him gone if you wish but don't treat him exceptionally or you risk him being here for good.
