removing satellite dish

we have an old satellite dish on our wall and want to remove it as it isn't being used...is it just a simlpe matter or cutting the lead and removing it or do any other leads /wire have to be made safe first ?

We have a satellite dish and there is a lead that is pushed through a hole in the wall. If yours is the same just pull the lead out with the satellite dish and block the hole.
Hi, If the dish is a fixed type and has only one cable connected to it then it is safe to just cut the cable and pull it out.

many thanks for the info

Just make sure you have your sat box turned off because it sends a 12 volt charge up to the LNB, so if you cut the wire and you sat box is on it would not hurt you but could blow the sat box.
