Great silence over possible petrol/diesel drivers strike. Do you think it will happen? Whether your answer is "yes" or "no" please give reasons for answer. Answer "don't know" no need to explain of course.

No I think the unions have and will come to an agreement about the working conditions.
didnt they say there wouldnt be a strike? I hope it wont happen, not because I am in favour of the petrol prices, but because going on strike will not change anything and could even force prices even higher
When certain persons in the Government made the premature statement that we should all fill up our tanks and hoard fuel, they handed a great bargaining tool to Unite. The country had a little taste of what will happen if there is a drivers` strike. Personally, I don`t think it will happen.
With annual salaries of £145k they deserve the sack & other more appreciative drivers employed.

I`ve seen this kind of propaganda in the media before (I`ve been a target of it). If those drivers earn 145K, I`ll eat my hat..
*£45k pa - still, a good salary for driving.
Tamborine, it says £45k in the report you posted.
Where did the £145,000 pa come from?
It clearly says in the article "drivers, who earn on average £45,000 a year. "
And my guess would be 45K with shedloads of overtime, working over Easter/Christmas etc.
I've corrected it.
Dont know, but hope not.
