Mr Harris weighs 80kg, he is prescribed Dopamine 5mcg per kg per min.
The drug comes as 400mg in 250ml bags.

What is the dose in mg per hour?
What is the hourly infusion rate in ml per hour?

i have ascertained that mrs harris needs 80 x 5microgram = 400 microgram
or converted she would need .4 milligram
then I am completley stuck!! julie

so, 0.4mg/min = 24mg /hour (x60)
400mg is the same as 250ml
so 24mg/hour = 15ml/hour (X400/250)
..and it's for Mr, not Mrs!
