I need little a pointer here and would appreciate any help.

I would like to move a city that I am familiar with for jobs. I have plenty of friends and relative who live there and so I would like to move there and work. The jobs in my line of work are available but how do I take the first step ? Should I start applying for the roles or should I save up money for rent for a property there ?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

No point applying for jobs unless you have somewhere to live. If you have plenty of friends and relatives, ask if any of them know of any lodgings or have a spare room while you get yourself started.

I will ask round. Maybe I will save up for first months rent too.
Best of luck with your plans

What if I find a house on rent or lodge there, move in, but fail to find work ?
I would get a job offer first then try to find a permenent place to live. You say you have many friends and relatives , would one of them let you stay with them for a week or two until you get a place of your own?
I agree with eddie - find a job first. When I got the job I have now, I had to move to this town - so I got the job, lived in a B&B for a couple of weeks while I sussed out the rental marked, then rented a flat at first - then when the job was made permanent, I bought. Don't invest in property without a job to go to.

I am thinking of starting off working as a temp as I want to move out as soon as I can. I will apply for perm but I am thinking of tempting there, then I would get weekly pay before I get any perm interviews
get friends to send you the local newspapers every week, so you can see what sorts of properties and jobs are available before you commit yourself to the upheaval

I can see jobs online, there are few i will be applying. I need to save up if i will stay in B&B for a few weeks.
Temping? Are you sure you'll get enough work? What do you do?
i would apply giving the friend's address and then lodge for a bit after you are successful!

good luck!

Some temp jobs last for up to 6 months or on rolling contract.
