I keep getting a message from Silverlight to install their program.
Problem is as soon as the message appears the computer freezes and the only way out is to reboot. This message comes up every time I click on a link or even try to log on to my email, how can I get rid of it ?
Once the message comes up clicking 'accept' 'close' 'reject' 'do not show this message again' nothing stops it apart from shutting down and restarting.

Have you tried uninstalling Silverlight? It'll be listed as Microsoft Silverlight...
If it was already installed it wouldn't be prompting to install it.

unless you do install it you are going to get that prompt everytime you visit a website that uses silverlight on it (it's similar to flash)... your best option may be to simply install it.

I checked and silverlight was installed, I have uninstalled it. The message was actually saying that Silverlight wanted to make changes to the hard drive , but it still froze every time I got the message. Sorry I got the message wrong at first , but I hope it will be ok now.
