I have just read this article in the Daily Mail. I know that these vicious little demons can inflict terrible injuries on us humans. I would be mildly amused if it was my cat - proud of their guarding instinct. But for posties it must be a nightmare.

Poke fingers through hole... cats attack them its what they do.... she looks so sweet though
I thought I was in groundhog day reading that article.
I now have an external mail box just outside the gate...............ever since my westie bit a postman :-(

They are lean, mean, killing machines.

Neither of my two are lean.

Princess Merlin is mean.

Killing machine? They murdered a sachet of Felix for breakfast before burying under the feather duvet.
"The divorced father of one said.." Well, his marital and family status makes all the difference! Perhaps the cat is in a one cat family. At least the Mail departed from its other common practice and didn't give us the value of his house "from his £1 million semi said.."

Yes, well the little devil is waiting for the 'prey' through to appear through the letter box and then it pounces. This cat behaviour must be a bit more than a simple inconvenience to the postie. (No cats here, but the postie won't deliver to the door. Unaccountable suspicion of metre- high dogs, seems to be the excuse! Honestly!)

Fred - you are Puli-less but what hounds do you have in your pack?
Wolf, I have three wolfs Three Irish Wolfhounds, the two dogs being a bit under a metre at the shoulder but disturbingly tall when they stand up to say 'Hello!' at the gate. And six other, small, bitches: 5 cockerpoos and a Dandy Dinmont terrier. If I were a postie, I'd be more worried about the little terrier. She's sweet with strangers, but judging by how she is when she gets into a fight with the other small ones, she has quite a bite on her!
Question Author
Fred - 9 dogs? The three big ones I could live with, but I am not a fan of small dogs. My lady cat could give your terrier a run for her money. I had a guy in doing some work in the house, the idiot walked into a room and saw Merlin. He walked up to her and, without hesitation, went to stroke her.

He left the house will all his fingers still intact only due to the fact that he was wearing thick workman type gloves. My little Princess is fearless and stupid.

dustypuss - they are terrifying when they are in full fight mode. However to antagonise a cat just so that you can make a video clip for You Tube requires an idiot for an owner. I hope puss sticks its teeth in some human flesh.

My boy (in my avatar) is pretty good natured - his sister isn't.
