Result = Suspended sentence

Have drunk rant on Twitter about ill footballer, = 56 days jail

So it now seems that a physical attack doesnt warrant a custodial sentence yet a verbal one does

How very odd

<<how about the killer of Jean Charles de Menezes>>

the killer of JCM was not the brave officer who walked up to him and pumped him full of bullets

it is the negligent senior officer who placed all of them in that situation by failing to put the stop and search plan into action properly

/// Even in an angry outburst, if someone attacks with premediataion it is murder ///

I was under the assumption that you meant that in the angry outburst, one lashed out, and the victim fatally hit their head etc.

In an angry outburst where one strangles a person or grabs a weapon, ie. gun. knife, brick etc, and kills the person, then yes it is murder full stop, and should therefore carry the same sentence as any other type of murder.
<<it is murder full stop>>

i doubt there is anything as simplistic as 'full stop' - certainly not something with all the contributory factors murder has.

I personally would deal more severly with someone who has spent a length of time planning and working toward a murder than someone acting on impulse.
so a gangland hit incurs the same punishment as euthanasia? I don't find that a good idea.

Why the person is in no way less killed.

Euthanasia, is an entirely different matter, as well you know.
they are also 'no less killed' than someone who falls off a cliff!

the trial is not of the state of 'being killed' it is the trial of the perpetrator and the act of the killing
