Do any abers live next to or in the vicinity of a church that rings its bells before services. I am visiting my daughter at the moment and the church along the road from her starts ringings it's bells at some ungodly hour on a Sunday morning. And this eems to goon at various times during the day till evening service. Also on a Saturday if they have a wedding they ring the bells for about 45 min before the bride arrives. Should this be considered noise pollution.

Was thinking about my brother's third floor flat which was across a narrow lane from a church. The bells chimed every quarter hour and on the hour chimed the number eg 11am chimed 11 times. After the first week there you didn't even notice it. When I moved I couldn't sleep in the beginning because it was too quiet.

Definitely has a certain ring about it.
Was your daughter not aware there was a church down the road when she bought the house?
Question Author
She doesn't have a problem with them. Neither do I actually it's just that there is a Petition doing the rounds to have the hours restricted and was curious as to what others think.
