Does anyone speak Polish please?

^^^ I need to print this onto a greetings card. Done a bit of research on the internet and found that the letter 'z' in Polish has two different kinds of 'marks' above it. Anyone know which one I should use, please?

Also, is the month written with a small letter, rather than a capital letter, in Polish?

Excuse me, Mrs C, but I once came across a "literal" translation for "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak".
Translated into Russian, then back again, it came out as " The vodka is good, but the meat has gone off"

When I was in hospital back in November, one of the surgeons looking after the lady opposite me was called Mr Sheen - I have to say I was quite jealous of her being able to say she'd had her gallbladder removed by Mr Sheen :)

Officialdom can be as bad as online translators. There's an official notice in the tube station for Chelsea's ground that warns Francophones against buying match tickets from touts. Unfortunately the word 'match' has been translated as 'allumette', the French for the match you light things with. 'They have managed 'billet' for 'ticket', which is perfectly correct, though, strangely, the word for ticket in French can be, guess what? Ticket!

'Billet' tends to be (almost) exclusively for journeys these days, and bank notes, of course!

Tickets for the theatre, sports fixtures etc would most likely be 'ticket'...
