My web browser, Explorer, (or internet connection?) has been driving me insane, pages keep freezing and I've noticed this "Engine Initialization Failure" message come up in the toolbar at the top. I usually have to shut it down and start a new tab, reopen the webpage and reype anything I've lost.

My internet has also been knocked off only to reset ok a fair few times recently (with AOL) but the crashing thing is happening a lot, loads of times today at least.

Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can fix it?

Thank you.

I suggest that you get in touch with AOL and have them run some checks on your internet connection to establish that it is ok. After you could do some checks on your computer , you have not said what OS you are using.
Have you got a Norton internet security product? If so, uninstall it, then reinstall it.

Windows XP I think.

Yes Chris I do have Norton, will give that a try and if it doesn't improve will check with AOL.

Thanks both.
