I'm getting horribly loused out with eggs. My girls are cracking them out at a rate of 3 per day and I've been so busy lately, I've not been cooking every day. I am going to start selling the freshly laid ones because otherwise I am just going to end up with a huge pile.

Sainsburys sell 1/2 doz free range eggs for £1.89.
Their barn eggs are 89p.

These are free range (very spoilt) chooks and the eggs are delicious.

What do you think for 1/2 doz? £1? £1.50?

I pay £1.30 from a lady up the road for 6 but would happily pay £1.50. I love freshly laid free range eggs. There is nothing better!

Just read your post, my son has 23 chickens, was only going to let him have 3 or 4!but it was me who fell in love with them, so hence getting more, ours are a mixed bag, light sussex road/rocks isla brown etc, they slowed down about september egg wise but just in the last three weeks we have loads around about 18/22 a day now!, but i am in the postion to take them to my work and sell them for my son at £1.20 1/2dozen totally free range yes he makes a profit, enough for him to be saving up for a farm quad!
