I disagree with David Cameron getting us involved with Somalia. Lets hope it doesn't finish up like Iran and Afghanistan. He should do more about the imigration problem we have where they seem to be letting people in without any proper checks. Perhaps he should bring our troops home to help out at the Ports and airfields. It wouldn't cost the Goverment anything as they are
already being paid.

I don't think we can afford - or need - to get too involved ie boots on ground
I am absolutely certain that a lot of Indians, as you put it, would disagree.
It is very easy to disagree with something after the fact.
But they did benefit from colonialism. They just refuse to admit it.
We cannot put the Indians back to pre-colony times, but if we could .....
I think Jeremy Paxman's new series 'Empire' includes some Indians speaking up for it.

Either way, we can't change the past and we can't fix everyone's problems. But we should at least acknowledge where we had a hand in laying the foundations for some of those problems not pretend they are nothing to do with us.

And where feasible, help people deal with the effects of those problems.
