i look forward to this every thursday,even although we have only been 3 times we have came in last all the time,the other teams take it so seriously but i love it,it started off me and my two sons giving me a treat,now there is 8 of us and a great night is had by all,it would be nice to win but we all have a right laugh and it cheers me up.

Hope you have fun as thats what its all about. We used to go to a lot of pub quizzes at one time just to socialise really. We never did any good mainly as we wernt concentrating, but we did win once at one we hadnt been to before and the regulars were so grumpy about us winning, snidingly asking do we go around all the pubs winning ?? Of course, we said no, this was our first, which they didnt believe and went away muttering under their breath. Talk about taking things seriously, and we only won a bottle of wine anyway.

Yes, great fun, but don 't you hate it if another team stays sober? Never mind the 'no mobiles' rule, there should be a 'at least four pints' rule!

I can't today, though I'm quite often in Glasgow. The Park Bar in Argyle Street do a pub quiz in Gaelic, which I'm keen to attend at some point...

I love them, we went to a hotel near us as my dad was up visiting and we done the quiz there and won it! The regulars were fuming! The prize is £50 to spend in the bar on a Tuesday so we go back for the quiz now and then. Now it's just me and the lass but since it's just the 2 of us out of 6 visits we've come 3rd twice, 2nd once and won once! There's 4 other regular teams who tend to battle it out, all miserable gets, the bar staff were made up when we won!
