Hey, I'm an amateur filmmaker and I was wondering if is there any way I could make HD video (AVCHD files) look like a damaged VHS with little glitches and such, without things like After Effects?

When I worked in Television in the very early days (over 50 years ago now urgh!!) when high quality video recording became possible with the first Ampex machines, directors were always complaining about the very obvious contrast of the high quality video when they had to cut in location work which (then) had to be shot on 16mm film and then some bright spark came up with the idea of putting a very fine lady's stocking over the video camera's lens, result? Happy directors. This will not put glitches etc on for you but it might be a start.
