Just got combined Gas and Electricity bill £462

TV licence due at the end the month £145.50

Car Tax due at the end of the month. £160

I told her she will have to come out of retirement and go back to work.

I won't repeat what she told me.

Is that a year car tax if so get 6 months and pay a full year in six months time so it doesn't fall due when the winter fuel quarter comes in and get your tv licence on monthly direect debit.... and get a second job...
Less than £3 per week for TV. Bargain! Pay it monthly by Direct Debit. It eases the pain.

Get a job Rowan, please don't swear at me. lol
Its hard work being married... all the housework and providing sex on demand...
If you're retired then you must have got the "Winter Fuel "payment of £250 so thats cut your bill in half, do what Rowan has said- - - and get a job yourself

B&Q take on pensioners under 70 PT.

See no sympathy Micmak.... we ladies stick together

Jem, The winter fuel payment is £200 not £250.

I posted this as a joke, it clearly didn't work.
mikmac, i loved it especially since the £200 is now split between the 2 of us xx
everyone knows men still get paid far more than women, so it makes sense for you to get work, not her.
"Its hard work being married... all the housework and providing sex on demand... "

too true, and i have to go to work every day as well.
Its ok MM we knew you were joking
mm, I think most of us knew it was a joke, we were pulling your leg. We love you really £200? Really? my H told me it was £250
IF you're over 80 its £300, and over 75 you don't have to pay for a TV licence.

jem
It was £250 last year, reduced back to £200 last Novemberish.

I pay my fuel monthly micmak, we get a reduction for direct debit, it does make a difference.

I dislike DD, they take what they want when they want it. Send me a bill and I will pay it.
It was a joke, We both have a decent pension. We are spending much more money now though, to live as we have become accustomed. Crikey that sounds so wrong .
Bet it ended in off
