Hate to brag, but here in East Devon its quite mild, and dry at present, but that could change at any time. It certainly looks like the SE is getting the brunt of it.Keep warm everyone.
None in Ayrshire
snowed most of yesterday, Looked out last night and the area was a white out. I don't like it because our council takes it time to sweep the roads, and worse the pavements, which means it's like a skating rink. Going on last time it snowed here in the capital, i came a cropper more than once.
We must have about 8ins here in North Essex, my visitors had to cancel dinner to-day.
we had a good 4 ins overnight here - not thawing at the moment, the snow stuck to the windows has only just melted!
Snow is thawing here in the Walsall ( West Midlands ) area, temp is 2 degrees celsius.

Brilliant sunshine here in Fife about 10 degrees
After the 3" of snow we had in Leicestershire last night. Did anyone else see the strange phenomenon - it was daylight in the night!! We noticed at 2.30am that the bedroom was so bright, its usually pitch dark as the council switch all our street lights off from 00.00 to 5.00 so it was a bit strange. On looking out of the window we were amazed to see that it was virtually daylight, we could see everything in the whole street, houses, gardens etc in clear detail. The sky was a yellowish-grey and it had stopped snowing a few hours earlier, it wasn't the moon shining as it was thick cloud. We live on a hill and look over our town and we could see all the main town lights shrouded in fog but if we had gone outside I'm sure it was light enough to read a newspaper in the street. It wasn't just the reflection of the snow I'm sure - but whatever it was, it was very eerie!!! Maybe something caused it like it does the Northern Lights?
Bright sun and relatively warm here in Edinburgh.
