Looks like urban street speak isn't always the best. Luckily he didn't refer to America as 'da bomb', he would have been in a world of sh*t!

They treat everyone like some kind of terrorist.

Good to see they`ve got a sense of humour..
How about not 'tweeting' about anything?

Here's a secret you may not know about tweeting - no-one actually cares what you think or say!!!!

I guess Homeland security just weren't feeling the love triggerhippy!

Why would anyone publicise the fact that they were going on holiday?

Why not just tie a banner to the front of your house saying ...

"Burgle Me ... I'm Away!"
triggerhappy - how 'close' can you ever get to someone you have never met, or spoken to?

Is it just a generation thing? I may just be too old for this, but it leaves me utterly cold.

Nor am I trig - it's the whole concept of 'friends' that is so hollow.

if I was to start 'tweeting' about how i think bear baiting should be an Olympic event, there would be someone somewhere in the world that would agree with me - does that make us 'friends'?

It's just so unreal, I simply cannot be bothered with it - but i accept that I am in the minority here, and for those who like it, fill yer boots!!!

Does AOG tweet? Just curious.
Forget Facebook and Twitter, I've got a real life with real friends....problem is, I've forgotten the password..

I recently signed up to Twitter out of curiousity, and I think I 'get it' now (for ages, I literally couldn't see the point).

Think of it as little communities of people exist on a different plane.

Good example - in real life, you have people who exist on different planes:

Level 1: would get invited to your wedding
Level 2: would get invited to your wedding reception
Level 3: would go for a drink after work with you
Level 4: would get a Christmas card from you
Level 5: would smile and nod 'hello' to you in the lift, but wouldn't know your name.

Online tweeting communities are another plane...but a virtual one. I find myself followng people rather than tweeting myself - lots of tech bloggers for example.

I also follow Stephen Fry, but only because he's clever and I repeat things he's said, passing them off as my own witticisms.
By the way, I feel a twinge of sympathy for the chap in the story, as 'destroy' is a word I use all the time, but I use it in the sense of "I'm going to have a fantastic time...it's gonna get MESSY".

I wouldn't tweet that about America though, because I've been before, and know that humour-wise, absolutely nothing gets through their irony shields.

Nuts - I'll probably get banned for writing THAT!
America eh? I'm actually scared to say anything in case the CIA come knocking on my door.
