It was boy #2's birthday last week and himself was in charge of present buying. One of the presents he got for the boy was a Sea Monsters set (similar to sea monkeys but more scary sounding). Had to get bottled water with a particular ph and magnesium content, room temperature, etc and need a place to keep it. First and second lot didn't hatch so himself went out today and got some more eggs (and an angle poise lamp to keep them warm). What I want to know is why didn't he just buy a different present in the first place! Love him to bits, but sometimes he just doesn't think things through.

Oh bless him, hope they hatch this time!............lol............
Perhaps he was buying the present he would have liked at that age? ;)

Hi both, himself's eyes are so bad that he probably won't see them even with the magnifying glass (both the one provided and the extra one he bought).
Sher, I think I've worked out your favourite word.....:)
Oh sher, so they may have hatched then, I remember my grandkids having sea monkeys, and they are minute when they hatch!............

Do tell Evian, Welsh, I've had a look and there is nothing moving.
I've noticed you refer to your other half as himself a lot.
Himself :-)
Oh dear!......maybe he should give up on them!.......I remember when my grandkids had sea monkeys they hatched with no problems, maybe these new sea monsters aren't as reliable!.....
I like himself, it makes a change from OH. (I wonder what they call sherrard, if the rest of the family are called himself, and thing and thing and thing and boy and (I forget what the last one's called)
What on earth are sea monsters/monkeys? sounds fasinating.
Well if #2 can't have a pony what else can he have to look after. It was an usual gift that unfortunately didn't quite work out. Hope this batch hatch out,

There's himself, boy #1, boy #2, girl, thing 1 and thing 2. Obviously, in real life I use their names (or a combination if I am in a tizz).
My mother came out with a wonderful name once which was a combination of mine, my sister's and my brother's. Saves time.
Thanks for the link boxtops. That's a new one on me.
