Does anyone have any experience on setting up DD as an originator and if so, how do you go about it?

The first step is to contact your bank. There will be a number of security steps to take and once you are approved and have all the correct processes in place, you will be able to register. Next you install the relevant software onto your PC and with the controls and security in place you can then begin to collect direct debit payments online.
