You need something advanced.
You need to know if compatible with existing car wiring or you need an adapter connector.
Many aftermarket head units are incompatible with remote/stalk controls. Does your car have them?

Start with this one maybe ...

What confuses me is when the specs say "made for ipod/iphone"
The made for iphone/ipod means that you can connect either of them by the USB cable to it and then select the tracks using the head unit rather than the ipod.

You can connect a android phone to it using the aux input and it will play the music fine but you'll need to control the playback from the phone, not the head unit.

Personally, if I had that head unit I'd use the supplied USB extension cable, plug it into the USB on the back of the unit and route the other end into the glove box, then just plug a USB memory stick into it in the glove box and play music straight from the USB memory stick and not use the phone at all.

Thanks chuck, yes maybe something else to think about, i just thought you could use the stalk to select to play the next/ previous tracks.

Are all head units the same size ?
As far as you 206 goes, yes, they're all the same size. A steering wheel interface could cost as much as £50.00 alone depending on the year of your Pug. Bear in mind too that not all head units have the facility to connect at all.
Question Author
Ok then douglas, what do you mean by connect, are you refering to the stalk adpater
Question Author
I just want to buy a unit and an adapter so i can continue to use the stalk with the radio eg change volume etc
