Apparently our signal strength is "good". We split our signal to 3 separate tvs, and an engineer has just told us that our "splitter" is to blame for weak signals.

He recommended getting a non plastic and non booster splitter. Can anyone recommend one, because I have NO idea what is good or bad in a "splitter".

I don't know why he'd not recoment a booster to put in your aerial line.
I'd be looking at something like this to boost the signal to upto 4 TVs.

Well I agree with him regarding the cause of your problems but I'm not so sure about his solution!

He seems to be suggesting one of these:

whereas I'd opt for a booster:

(Although that's currently out of stock online it seems to be in stock at most Maplin stores).

Thanks Graham-w and Buenchico!

I have no idea at all why he said don't boost, that would have been my first thought. He did say something about the signal being too strong if we did?

On balance, I'm going to buy a booster splitter and hope for the best! Thanks guys.
I've rarely had a lot of joy with splitter/boosters just prior to a TV.
Never worked out an easy way to get the gain at the aerial though (without falling off the roof anyway).

I live in a flat old geezer, so if anyone falls off a roof it won't be me!

Will tomorrow try to simplify all the various leads from various tv's and buy a better splitter (I'm going with booster).
