changing 110v to 240v

Hi, I am thinking of buying a new mitre saw for work but the one I am intresed in is 110v. Now I prefer 240v Is it easy and cheap to change the Voltage?

You could buy a transformer, If you know anyone who works on a building site they may be able to help you.

Cheers Philby I have a transformer but I hate using them and Most of my tools are 240v
Hi Bobby, you would be doing yourself a favour if you use the 110v drill with a 230/110 transformer because any shock you might receive froma damaged cable etc...will be less dangerous. But anyway it is very difficult to change a single phase motor voltage because basically you would have to rewind the motor completely.

Cheers qapmoc i know about the shock thing but I didnt think it would be that hard lol does any know if I can get a 110v plug one end and a 240v plug on the other because i dont fancy lugging my transformer around with me.
