TV Murder Mystery Movie with song "Endless Sleep" played at murder sites

Hi, I remember watching a murder mystery movie on TV some years ago. In the movie the song "Endless Sleep" by Marty Wilde was played at the murder sites. (A bit like the way the song "Sea of Love" was played in the movie "Sea of Love".) I think the killer turned out to be an asian man called something like "town". I just can't remember the name of this movie.
