She says she was hounded and bullied out of her job for being pregnant. Well I'm sorry but nothing can justify such an obscene amount, especially when it comes out of the health budget. It's disgusting, it should only be enough to cover lost earnings and no more. I would welcome anyone to call me names and bully me if I knew there was £4.5m at the end of it!

hope that comes out of the perpetrators insurance and the NHS funds???? x
How many years has she studied and trained to be a doctor? 7? 8? 9 years? A large chuck of that compensation was due to loss of earnings, future earnings and pension.
I'm getting a strong whiff of blaming the victim here. The people to blame are the NHS trust dolts who forgot what the NHS is for, forgot what their jobs are for, and thought that the laws on discrimination and harassment somehow didn't apply to them.
I feel sorry for the patients who may well have lost an able 'Kidney-doctor' because of the apparent truculence and petulance of a group of people who should have known better!!
