I thought I was paying too much car insurance in the summer and even staying with the same company, I got it down to £22.63/month fully comp.

Upon checking my DDs I found that they had taken £33.61.

I rang them this afternoon and they apologised and told me it was an error on their part. They are going to credit me with the overpayment next month and get it correct this time.

So people, check your DDs. £11.00 is alot of money to me now.

It's saved me a lot of money over the years.
;o)
Yes I always check every month - been caught out before. Especially with instalments arrangements that are supposed to be over 10 months and on month 11 are still being taken....
I don't :-/

I changed my house insurance and they didn't cancel the original policy. I was paying two lots for over a year before I spotted it. They did refund it all...

Gosh ummmm. Just goes to show doesn't it.
An example of why I avoid DD like the plague. I don't see the logic in allowing others free access to my meager wealth. There was never anything wrong with a SO, except it allowed the great unwashed control of their own finances and that would never do.
