My mum was given the prestige 5lt highdome pressure cooker a year ago & has today unpacked it to finally use it (her old one was still working) However she has found no instructions/recipe book in the box.I've had a look on Prestige website to no avail.Anyone know where I might get hold of one?

Thanks Electrochem, I had looked there but saw nothing about instructions.I've passed the tele number onto mum, but I might drop them an email anyway
put the model number in on this site, spikey, it might come up http://www.espares.co...&nl=5lt%20high%20dome
one of the forums about this pressure cooker recommends that you use the instructions from your old pressure cooker as the ones that come with it are pretty useless. and i would imagine that any pressure cooker recipe would come out the same too.

Thanks Boxtops, I got the model number from Amazon, but doesn't seem to have it there. Handy website though - I'm sure I'll use it again in future!

Thanks Ethandron - I passed that info onto mum.She seems to be confused about the weights with it, they don't come apart as with her old one, so doesn't seem to give the option of 5,10 & 15 lbs.By the way - I'm clueless about using pressure cookers, so I might have mis-understood her!
Re: the weights. Is it just one weight that indicates the pressure you are at by a central "core" that rises up as the pressure increases?
As for recipes etc, The Works (cheapo bookstores) have all sorts of books for equipment like microwaves, halogen ovens, slow-cookers, pressure cookers from 99p.
Spikey,
your Mum obviously knows her stuff, but all the with/without weights business is covered in 'Pressure Cooking Properly Explained.'
It sounds very finger-wagging, it's not.
