The US, China and India are reluctant to cut emissions because they worry about damaging their economies.

So why are we suffering in Britain being taxed to the hilt and our economy deeply affected?

Wouldn't it be more sensible to go along with the big three and use money gained to shore up our delapidated defences?

When you say "money gained" I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying we should reduce fuel taxes? Wouldn't that reduce government revenue and mean we had less to spend on on our dilapidated defences?

A costly white elephant are the wind turbines that produce so little energy compared with the cost of installing and running them. We were told they are necessary for clean energy.

Just one example. In China they are still reliant on coal. We have an abundance of the stuff. This could get thousands of miners back into work and will cut back our dependence on foreign imports of energy.
Agree we would also be saving ourselves billions of pounds.

/// A spokesman for Mr Huhne’s Department for Energy and Climate Change would not confirm the total amount, and said it was not new money as it will be drawn from the Coalition’s fully- funded £2.9billion International Climate Fund. ///

Funny how we always seem to have money set aside for things such as this, but ask for money for ourselves and the answer is always "we can't afford it".

wind turbines - you'd think they would do what it says on their tin, they spin round when the wind blows and make electricity.

but no - it seems that when the wind blows, they might blow up, so we can't use them. funny that.....
