mary berry traditional xmas cake mix

if you have purchased this cake mix all the inredients are included apart from the butter and eggs however do not cook at 120 fan oven as instructed I did this and the cake was not cooked after 4 and a half hours I have purchased another one half price and am cooking it at 140 fingers crossed

Might be a good idea to test your oven temp with a thermometer if you haven't already done so. They are very cheap to buy and should save time and money in the long run.

no need instructions were to cook at 120 fan oven wrong as I stated I purchased another and it has furned out fine cooked at 140
I used Delia's last year and it was lovely. Was going to try Mary Berry's this year , but not so sure now.
Coriander's point still stands. The cake may have cooked with the dial turned to 140, but was the oven temp 140C??? The only way of knowing is by using a oven thermometer.

actually the cake mix is fine all the ingredients apart from butter and eggs mine has turned out lovely now I have cooked it at the right temperature
