Talking to a friend on the phone the conversation got round to our old Co-op numbers - and we both quoted our mum's number straight away despite not having used them for 40 + years! Can you remember yours?

Mother's number was 568, when we were old enough (?16) my friend and I opened our own co-op accounts (mine was 13754) and collected the divi!
My mother's number was 568, when my schoolfriend and I were 16 we opened our own co-op accounts and then used our numbers to amass the divi from our parents and grandparents. (My number was 13756, can still remember it 50 years on!)
No, I never had one, but I can remember the NHS number which I was issued with as soon as I was born - 4 numbers and 3 letters.

Ours was 100478 which was always said 'one hundred four seven eight'
I can't remember the number but I remember all the hours licking stamps and sticking them into the little booklets. Thankfully new technology has removed the need for this horrendous task.
Yes, it was 9464 I am 61 now and last used it in the arly 1960s.
You had to know it to get your ' divi'
A lot of people used the 'Spastics' no so that the divi went to charity.
Not PC now but an everyday thing then. When asked for your co-op number you just said ''I use the Spastics number''
