Although I generally enjoy this type of programme I thought 'The Manor Reborn' must be one of the BBC's biggest waste of licence payers money.

Apart from the title what connection had Penelope Keith with this programme, what did she do, except roam around the country with historian Dan Cruickshank?

The same could be said also about Paul Martin, (although one of my favourite antiques personalities), why did he need to go swanning off to the Caribbean?

Taking into account the personalities and the camera crews etc all had to be fed and watered in first class accommodation during their travels, this all must have cost a fortune.

No the Manor house could still have had all the restoration carried out by those craftsmen, that would haver been interesting enough, and a lot cheaper to put on.
