Terrible with names

How good are you at remembering peoples names? I'm truly bad and it's embarrassing.

Take for example my neighbours- on both sides I can remember the husbands names, but not their wives. But the most embarrassing one is not remembering my next door but one's name- as I take her little girl to Rainbows along with mine every week. I've been doing it for months now, and I really can't think of how I can casually say "what's your name again?" The stupid thing is, someone said her name to me thje other week, and at the the time I thought "Thank God, I now know it, must remember".....I didn't :-(

When in doubt call the person "Dave".......hopefully they'll have seen 'Only Fools and Horses' and enjoy the joke. They may even volunteer their actual name !
