She says it has been like this since last Thurs but not everytime. I saw it tonight for the first time and it did have a green tint to it. Any ideas what this could mean? I know babies get green poo when they are teething but this doesnt carry on with adult teeth does it?!

Can't believe I went Googling "Green poo", lol, however Wiki suggested....

. A "green" stool is from rapid transit of feces through the intestines (or the consumption of certain blue or green food dyes in quantity),
she might be coming down with something, there are a lot of virus's going around at the minute
Just about the food colourings.. after eating my cousins birthday cake which was covered in blue butter icing, my brother was sick. As you can imagine it was a lovely blue colour and the next day he thought it was a nice idea to tell us that it was quite blue at the other end as well.

So I can second the food colouring suggestion.
I noticed that when I went on the Atkins diet. I put it down to the increase in green veg that I was eating but I think it can happen when you eat too much fibre and everything goes through you too quickly. Has her diet changed at all?
In dogs it indicates that the animal is not fully digesting its food according to our vet. Maybe the same with humans.

Theres been no change in her diet and she definitely hasnt eaten anything that would make it green. She did have hand, foot and mouth disease a couple of weeks ago and has complained of a sore throat on and off too so maybe it could be a virus?
No big deal.....it is dietary........excess vegetable or perhaps iron.

Forget it!

Lol it won't be too much veg! She does eat some but definitely not to excess.
what's hand foot and mouth disease, tigwig? I've only ever heard of foot and mouth in animals - what is it?

Bloody horrible illness boxtops. The worst I've seen my toddler (who of course caught it off her) and thats saying something. He literally screamed for a whole 24 hr period at its worst and was ill for a week before that and a few days after. Then 2 of the kids I mind for got it too and were equally as ill. Only my daughter was ok, and just had the blisters in mouth.
