Hubby has bought a used Peugeot 307 (53 plate) with a Blaupunkt CD changer with 5 slots - it is the correct model for the car. However the cd player was broken. We have bought a second hand one but it won't play. There were no instructions with the car or anything suggesting a code should be keyed in. It will accept a cd but when he presses the source button it doesn't play and stays on the radio. It doesn't ask for a code on the main display in the car. Someone has suggested it needs 'pairing up', whatever that means. I would have expected it to need a code but would also have expected it to say so Any ideas please??? Does anyone have one of these and at least knows if there should be a code? - that would be a start!!

i have not come across a modern vehicle that doesnt use a code
ask the people you purchased the second hand one from for the code and instructions.
I have a Peugeot 406 and I tried changing the radio to a Clarion which I could not get to work. I believe the reason was that the Radio is paired to the Engine Management System. I may be wrong but that is what I was told at the time.
Hi, the radio for your car should be coded, take the car back to the seller & ask for the code, alternative the dealer, check the statement of the cars selling details! did they state that the CD was NOT working? If not it's up to them to repair or replace the unit.
What Pottyone is refering to is the 5 disc changer unit that is separate from the radio head unit. The changer unit isn't coded and isn't paired to anything.
Check the connections to make sure they're fitted right. It would appear that there is power to the CD unit but the radio head unit isn't finding the connection.
On a working unit each button will remain unlit if the corresponding slot is empty; the button will be lit orange if it's slot has a CD which isn't the one being played; the button will be lit green if it's CD is the one being played. If the five CD select buttons flash all together then that is indicating a fault with the unit.
Mine will take a CD in and try to play it but won't, then I get the flashing lights and it won't eject the CD. I think mine's a mechanical failure whereas yours sounds electrical, possibly a lack of communication between the two units.
I just got a 307 with this flashing light problem, if its a failier in the unit wul i be able to buy another multi changer unit and just plug it in?
