printer is offline

hubby has been messing with printer, lexmark prestige pro 805, i cannot print as the printer is saying offline. it has never said this before; the modem is working and the wi fi light is on the printer. how do i get it back online which i assume will rectify the problem?

'Offline' on a printer usually means not switched on.

Control panel - devices and printers - right click - set as default printer.

we have an apple macbook pro mjwman, does this still apply? yes sugar does happen but i need to print off stuff for work tomorrow and to post things before mon! grrr!

I used to have a Mac book (until it was"redistributed" by a tea leaf) and I am sure it is the same. I have two printers and one of them needs selecting as default. Can't recall how to get to the printers in a Mac though.
