How do I transfer files to MP4

I bought an MP4 from Price Drop, and I can't seem to get it to save albums, it all comes out as single tunes, which is ridiculous. I want to be able to copy music from CD's and also some that I have already on my computer. I have Windows Player, Real Player and Itunes on my computer. Can somebody tell me how I can transfer complete albums so that I can choose to play the album, not have to go through hundreds of single songs to get the one I want. I am on the point of throwing this thing out.
Thanks

Hi,
have you tried making different folders on the device named with the album and then put the individual tracks in the folder. Most ripping software does this anyway. Otherwise read the manual that came with the device or Google for faqs on the device (e.g. ripping to ipod)
BTW what is the make / model of your mp4 as a bit more info may help identify your problem.

It is an Ikasu, I know, it is probably rubbish, but I wanted to try before I paid out a lot for an Ipod.
The manual is a laugh, not a lot of help.
I am going to try your suggestion, makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks

Have tried as suggested, but no luck. There is a folder called Music, tried putting a new folder into it, no luck, tried putting the file outside of the Music folder, still no luck. The radio works great though, so maybe that will have to do. Will I get this same problem with an Ipod Nana?
I have a Creative Zen and can play music by artist, album or track (sequential or random).

The radio is fabby too.

If I choose 'album' the whole album plays.
I don't think the ipods handle the files in the same way.
IMO the cheaper mp3 players do as yours seems to, one folder with everything in it and starts playing from the first track added to the last, some allow a random selection . The next step up in cost (say 50+) tend to arrange as a folder per album and you can play in any order, random shuffle or play by artist, alphabetical etc.
BTW have you tried making the different folders on your computer first then transferring to the mp4 device?

Yes, I have tried that, no success. I think I will upgrade to an Ipod.
Thanks for all the advice, at least I can use the radio!
