im hosting a dinner party at the weekend and one of the guests is ceoliac. im doing asparagus in parma/serrano ham for a starter with a sprinkling of parmesan. im assuming this would be ok? any other ideas for another starter to go with this? i did think of mushrooms of some description but cant use breadcrumbs and any i have previously cooked seemed watery and soggy.

doh meant pick up not at!
why not go for tapas then you could do the prawns, crab cakes, tortilla, dips aubergine and hummus, toast some gluten free flatbread (if you can get them)
big bowl of salad
Your starter sounds great,BUT-be careful with ready grated cheese ( in case you are thinking of using it). It is often dusted with starch of some sort to keep it from sticking together.
